For issuing receipts, it is mandatory to use fiscal devices – ECF, which are registered at the State Finance Secretariat and preapproved, fulfilling law requirements.
Whether there is communication of transaction data with the authorities depends on the particular state’s regulations.
There is also an option of issuing certain e-receipts outside of the fiscal device, but such a document must be validated by the authorities.
Although, in general, POS application is not submitted for assessment by the authorities, certain states have specific rules imposing particular requirements on the SW which will be integrated with the fiscal device.
